Rex began practicing yoga in the 1970's with his first introduction while attending CSU Sonoma. He has studied and practiced a variety of different styles including Sivananda, Tri-Yoga, Iyengar and Integral Yoga but he considers Ashtanga to be his main influence.

Kanade Oishi

Kanade’s yoga journey began in Hawaii, where she started practicing yoga outdoors as part of her postpartum recovery. The movement and breathwork quickly became an essential part of reconnecting with her body and managing the physical and emotional challenges of early motherhood.
Inspired by the impact yoga had on her life, Kanade sought a more intentianal, alignment-based practice. In 2018, she completed her 200-hour Yoga teacher Training under Laura Mary Linsley, Ph.D. in Kinesiology and Rehabilitation Science.
In addition to her yoga training, Kanade is a certified NASM personal trainer with specializations in behavior change, weight loss and corrective exercise. His classes are welcoming to all, regardless of background or experience level, and he strives to hold a supportive, inclusive environment where every student feels seen and accepted.
Guillaume Marchisseau
Vinyasa & Yin yoga
Guillaume took his first yoga class in 2012 in search of flexibility. In 2015, he discovered Vinyasa yoga and the occidentalized version of Ashtanga: power yoga. It quickly became his sole daily physical practice and a means of personal development. A meditation retreat led him to embark on a teacher training course in 2018, after which he taught free weekly vinyasa classes in a public park. It shifted to online classes during the 2020 events. More recently, he’s taught yoga classes daily in two Los Angeles studios; Vinyasa, Power Yoga and Yin Yoga. Now, he is happy to be part of the Chico community.
